Art, Food & Renaissance
Don't want to lock yourself inside a museum? Are you a good fork? Do you like the idea of discovering Florentine culture in a relaxed way?
Then this is the perfect tour for you!
Tasting typical Florentine delicacies (and not only) it will be even more pleasant to discover the history and the hidden beauties within the streets of the Cradle of Renaissance.
Starting from the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella we will arrive at the Central market of San Lorenzo where the curiosities and historical-artistic explanations will be interrupted by a first tasting of extra virgin olive oil, truffle products, balsamic vinegar, vinsanto & cantucci, etc.
We will continue the walk by deepening, between Palazzo Medici-Riccardi, the Cathedral and the medieval quarter, the stories of the most prominent personalities of the history of Florence until we stop to take advantage of a second stop: "focaccia", ham, salami, cheeses and a good glass of red wine.
We will then continue our wandering around the city between secrets and curiosities that will lead us to talk about other incredible monuments such as the Orsanmichele church until reaching the so-called "open-air museum", Piazza Signoria, where a beautiful collection of ancient statues with a thousand symbols surrounds the famous Palazzo Vecchio.
Finally, passing by the famous Ponte Vecchio and the Pigglet market, we will reach the "oldest" square of the city, Piazza Repubblica, where you will enjoy a last tasting of centuries-old peasant dishes such as Ribollita and Pappa al pomodoro.
